I came to Daniel with no formal Spanish lessons. As an electrician, I had picked up some Spanish slang on job sites but that was it. I'll admit I'm not an easy student - I often get distracted in needing to know the why rather than the how of things. I was never very good with traditional studying - read, memorize and repeat- when I was younger. Daniel's materials were fun and focused more on critical thinking and exercises rather than repetition and memorization. He was always incredibly patient with my endless questions and could redirect me back to the lesson when I was distracted or frustrated in needing to know a 'why'. You can tell he really does love languages because he also knew a lot of the 'why's' as well, which helped me a lot in getting comfortable.
